Some people have begun to bristle at the mounting number of absurdities that they are forced to accept and repeat, if not believe, in order to get through an ordinary day in the USA. Due to ever-widening enforcement of “hostile environment” laws and regulations, as well as social-media pressures and media attacks, ordinary citizens have found they may lose their jobs for stating basic principles found in biology textbooks, such as: “There are two sexes, male and female.”
For example, Denver Post columnist John Caldera says he was fired for it:
“What seemed to be the last straw for my column was my insistence that there are only two sexes and my frustration that to be inclusive of the transgendered (even that word isn’t allowed) we must lose our right to free speech. (https://www.westernjournal.com/denver-post-columnist-says-fired-saying-two-sexes/)
But to quibble over a list of examples misses the point. It is no accident that the language claims made by our current American overclass are unscientific, illogical, untrue, nonsensical and contradictory—in other words: absurd.
That is precisely the point of this high profile propaganda and purge operation. Each episode is used by the elites to separate wheat from chaff—to segregate the blindly obedient from those who think for themselves. In every iteration, more troublemakers and potential troublemakers are removed from jobs, schools, social media and whatever institutions they may still inhabit. At the end of the process only the most conformist, craven and docile apparatchiks will remain in positions of authority or responsibility.
“Yes, master,” is the desired response to each cancellation. At the end of the day, should this process be allowed to continue to its logical conclusion, the transformation of a free society to a slave society would be complete.
Which is why it is a waste of time to nitpick each outrage of the day. The only effective response to this strategy is rejection. Instead of accepting the false premises put forward by actors operating in bad faith, one must take a page from Greta Thunberg’s communication paradigm and respond to any such initiative with straightforward moral outrage—simply saying:
“How dare you!”
Nothing new under the sun...20. 1:9 - "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isa 5:20
This is as credible and plausible an explanation for the proliferation of absurd yet authoritative claims that I've seen. The only thing for it is to insist on common-sense wherever these absurdities are encountered. For example, if the doctor's office has that ridiculous verbiage about 'assigned gender', just tell the doc or write on the form that it's impossible to have any confidence in a medical practitioner who doesn't understand basic biology. Little things like that add up.
